Making sure I have everything we will need for the day including floppy hat from Spain and chocolate cake from Tilly :-)

Hey nice rack Steve ! Steve showing off his handy work with bracket and top box fitted.

ree

Squires Cafe, one of our favourite places when we are this way on, great coffee and food.

ree

A quick check make sure everything s still tight.

ree

A good cup of coffee and patiently (well almost) waiting for the grub.

ree

STILL waiting patiently.

ree

Oh yes, at long last, a full FIVE minutes we had to wait ! Well worth it !

ree

I was expecting an important call at 1pm, so an impromptu stop was called for and I spotted a beautiful little church on a rather steep incline !

Steve couldn't resist a little modelling and posing for the camera.

;-)

Some fine, big heavy wooden doors that look very, very old. I couldn't believe my luck when I checked the second door and the church was actually open, what a wonderful small church inside .

My favourite village name of the day !

From Blubberhouses onwards to Skipton, the gateway to the Dales apparently.

ree

And great little "live" venue come cafe come record (yes vinyl !) shop, great cup of coffee.

ree

And Steve doesn't like the biccies, how lucky id that :-)

ree

Our destination was always supposed to be Mallam Cove, and we managed to get there toilet stop and a bit of a rest and then onwards.

Our next stop after a quite fantastic road was the wonderfully named "Stump Cross Caverns", a not very biker friendly gravel car park but they can be forgiven for that because of the excellent service and great coffee and absolutely gorgeous Cookies and Cream Ice Cream !

ree

How to keep the children out !

Surrounded by lovely countryside.

Absolutely gorgeous place in the September sun !

ree

And the lovely staff who were efficient, courteous and never stopped smiling !

ree

And as tradition would dictate our last port of call, The Honest Lawyer for a lovely cup of coffee.

ree

An absolutely brilliant days riding with just about every sort you could think off, barring off road, although the gravel at Stump Cross Caverns Cafe was a bit hairy ! We did Harrogate, Fewston, Nidderdale, Pateley Bridge, Mallam, Conistone, Ripon, York, Crockey Hill, Escrick, Selby, Carlton, Snaith, Goole, Thorne and more. Some great roads, hills and bends that made for great riding ! Till the next time, adios.
