11.30 on the dot, Toddy on his new bike and what a beauty, all wrapped up, I think he's expecting a bit of bad weather !

"You go on point Charlie, Gainsborough then head for Bawtry" were my instructions, well I was sure I had heard the word "Newark" so off we went. Got past Retford and had stopped at some lights, up came Toddy's visor and he yelled "Where the **** are we?" lol. Anyway we stopped off and regrouped.

Moral of the story, dont let me go point, or as I said it's always an adventure if you do !

As Henry Cole would say "the quintessential English Hotel", great building with the Stables Bar to the right of it .

And this was THE BELL, no security needed here, just ring the bell if you need serving.

And this was the service, as good as the coffee which was perfect.

Service with a smile in the wonderful Stables Bar.

An absolutely great day, fantastic riding, just about perfect weatherwise although there did seem to be a lot of traffic. the bikes behaved perfectly and no drama's , lets just hope for some more dry days before summer is over.

Thanks Toddy for some of the photo's, until we ride again........ . . . . .
